Icacos Boat Charter
Icacos
Crystal-clear turquoise water, white sand and an effortless island escape.
From Fajardo ≈20 min Best 4, 6 or 8 hours

The island
Crystal-clear turquoise water.
Cayo Icacos is a small, uninhabited cay inside the La Cordillera Nature Reserve, off the coast of Fajardo. No buildings, no vendors. Just a long sandbar in water so shallow and clear it looks like glass.
This is where the floating mat comes out. Anchor in waist-deep water, walk to the beach, snorkel the edges of the reef, and let the afternoon take as long as it wants.
Recommended: 4, 6 or 8 hours. Pair it with Palomino on a 6-hour charter.
What to expect
The sandbar
Stand in the middle of the Caribbean, water at your waist, boat a few steps away.
Snorkel the edges
Reef fish and starfish over white sand, right from the anchorage.
No shore crowds
An uninhabited cay. What you bring is all there is.

How long does it take to get to Icacos?
About 15 to 20 minutes by boat from Fajardo, depending on the boat and sea conditions.
Is Icacos good for people who can't swim well?
Yes. The anchorage is shallow and calm on most days, and every charter carries life jackets and a floating mat.
Can we visit Icacos and Palomino on the same charter?
Yes. They sit close together, and a 6-hour charter gives you time to enjoy both without rushing.
Is there shade or a restaurant on Icacos?
No. Icacos is undeveloped, which is the appeal. Bring sunscreen and a hat; drinks and snacks are on board.
